Exceptional Children's Department

EC News!
Williams Syndrome Awareness Week
In honor of my son, Will Rodriguez who is a fourth grader at Elon Elementary, I would like to spread the news about Williams Syndrome.  May 5-13, 2012 is Williams Syndrome Awareness Week and I would be pleased if you could pass this along to the ABSS EC staff and colleagues so that others may learn about this rare genetic condition.

Williams Syndrome only occurs in about one in every 15,000-20,000 births, so Will may very well be the only student in Alamance County affected by it.  Because so few people have even heard of Williams Syndrome, I want to spread the word to educators and administrators.  I implore you to do the same to help other families down the road who may have children with WS.
